This is a long outdated entry that I always wanted to post but neglected for quite a while..
So anyway, here it is! Sharing with you my experience of making The Freshman’s autograph stamp! 🙂 If you’re not familiar with them, they are Singapore based duo, check them out here!
Anyway, I was provided with their logo so I skipped the design stage straight to executing the stamp! I only started to worry after transferring the image on the rubber cos that’s when I started to realise the amount of details that I needed to bring out!
Breathe in.. breathe out… Okay I’m good to go!
As you can tell, there’s super lots of tiny squares/rectangles! They are approx 0.1 cm each and this explains why I need to take so many breaks in between carving..
TADAAAA!! The end product! Personally I was very satisfied with it but I was worried (again) that The Freshman wouldn’t like them.. but they loved it! :’) *tears of joy*
Mounted on wood and ready to be delivered! 🙂
Okay since this is an outdated post, I’m pretty sure they already used them many many times.. 😛
I thought that these 2 stamps (identical) were quite a breakthrough cos it was definitely not within my comfort zone to carve stamps with such details and I got to find ways to carve areas that I couldn’t carve using the methods that I was more comfortable with. And that’s it for this post! Hope you like this as much as I do, and if you’re interested to find out about customised rubber stamps, do drop me an email! 🙂
