Favourite things

Neglected my blog for quite awhile, but now I’m back with freshly made stamps!

My first set of round stamps 🙂
Inspired by postmark stamp, with designs that include a few of my favourite objects!
Alpaca, flowers, tea cup with macaroons… the list goes on.

I love how small things can be so inspiring and whenever I run of of ideas I know I can just incorporate them into my designs.

Looking at the mess makes me feel very accomplished!

Placed them by the window for some natural light! 🙂
I think they look so cute side by side!

Printed and refined for mounting!
Hopefully I get to sell them at fleas or online and find new homes for them 🙂

Oh yes, talking about online, I’m planning to open an etsy shop, though everything’s not confirmed yet, but i’m still planning and very excited to execute my ideas! Will definitely update on blog/facebook for more info!

Thanks for reading!

Workshop: Garden Life

Finally back to blogging after so long! 😉
Gonna share some photos I took with my phone during last Sat’s beginners class!

Melissa very hard at work!

Stacy attempted carving using Speedball rubber block!

The participants were extremely hardworking and engrossed with carving!
I’m really glad to know that they enjoyed the workshop! 🙂

TADA! Their first attempt in making stamps and I would say they did a pretty neat job! 😀

I think one of the reasons why I’m addicted to carving is that it’s not just about the final outcome but also about the process of making! Something we tend to forget while doing the seemingly mundane tasks in life.

We had waffles/coffee/ice cream too~
Always know when to take a break! 😉

Images I prepared for the workshop. The theme was Garden Life!

Messy table as evidence for hard work!

It’s really awesome to spend my saturday with the lovely participants!
Feels great to share my craft with others and I always learn something new after each workshop.
It was a small group but definitely a very rewarding one!
Looking forward to the next workshop and meet new friends 🙂

If you’re interested to learn how to make stamps/ a new craft, follow DROOL on FB for more updates! 🙂

Flower postage stamp

A flower postage stamp to share with you!

Will be coming up with a new series so do keep a look out! 😉
I’ll also be posting a sneak preview of 22 Dec Crafty Party stamps for sale soon!

Also, a big THANK YOU to all who signed up for this sat’s workshop! ♥
Very excited to see you people and share the awesomeness of rubber stamps!

See you guys very soon!

Handmade garland stamp set

Presenting to you… the final image of my garland stamp set! 🙂

Images successfully transferred on rubber block! Start carving!

It was tedious to draw the acorn cos I failed many times before I came up with a more realistic one haha!

I decided not to carve the small leaf cos I was too lazy #megafail
But I thought the final image could turn out better with the leaf so I’ll continue experimenting!

I love matching pretty colours together! Not the best colour combination but I’m still trying!

Should think about how I can make them into postcards!
Stay tuned for more stamps that I’ve made this week! 🙂

Tried carving with my new carving blocks from Lovesprouts!
Carved out two simple outlines of flowers and played with the colours 🙂

My comments on the carving block:

I love the fact that it’s 1cm thick because it’s easy to stamp without the need to mount it on wood!
And the colours and lines turned out to be really solid and nice!
But since I’m more used to carving on soft block, my lines are quite ‘off’ on this slightly harder block.

On a side note, i bought this letter set recently because I’m so attracted to plants and flowers!
Gonna start writing some letters to my friends overseas now!

Till then~!
